JAGNAAM PICTURES
ಜಜ್ಞಾಂ ಪಿಕ್ಚರ್ಸ್
Rooted stories told with restraint. Written, produced, shot, and brought to screen under one creative vision.
"We don't make films about people. We make films about what people feel when no one is watching."
What Stays After The Camera Stops.
JAGNAAM PICTURES is an independent film production studio rooted in the soil of Karnataka, built around stories that stay with you long after the frame ends.
We believe cinema doesn't need to say everything. Our stories favour restraint, atmosphere, character and lived-in worlds — letting silence, place and performance speak for themselves.
From development and writing through production, direction and post, we carry every story under one creative vision.

Those Three Years (Working Title)
Set in rural Karnataka in 1980, Those Three Years is a proof-of-concept film built as the first chapter of an original feature story. Two lives born under the same roof grow together for twenty-three years — until, on the day meant to unite them forever, one man places the woman he loves into another man's hands. Restrained, intimate and deliberately withholding, the film ends where its title begins — leaving three unseen years at the heart of the feature yet to come.
Kathana is a screenwriting application by Manju S Padmanabh, published by Jagnaam Pictures. It is an independent, local-first writing environment for English and Indian languages, built so that your screenplay stays on your own computer.
Kathana is a separate software product with its own website and documentation.
